About Me

I'm Chris Ebert, a software engineer with over fifteen years of experience specializing in building cloud applications. I work at Tyler Technologies, building applications for customers in the public government technology sector (govtech). My career journey also includes impactful roles at Lockheed Martin and GE Healthcare. I've also done some freelance work and IT support work in the past.

As a strong advocate for continual learning and self-improvement, my professional interests span cloud computing, AWS serverless computing, software design, artificial intelligence, and organizational leadership.

I'm a Michigander residing in the Metro Detroit area. I strive to balance my tech career with a fulfilling family life, raising a son and daughter with my wife alongside our two dogs.

I have a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Wayne State University. Outside of tech, I enjoy skiing, going outdoors, watching sports (primarily football), and traveling.

Throughout my career, I've had experience building native mobile applications, hardware devices, Java desktop applications, .NET applications (C#), and web applications. I've had experience in space, signals intelligence, astrodynamics, manufacturing, finance, and public safety domains. One of the most unique projects I've worked on was helping to build a system to detect and alert when satellites were at risk of colliding with space junk or other orbital vehicles.

I love making new connections and learning from others. Feel free to contact me with suggestions, thoughts, and questions.
